Just bought a Fire Tablet 10" 2017, downloaded the Cox Contour APP and it plays but sometimes freezes up(as often as every 5-10 minutes) and have to touch the screen to connect again, what is up with that? My android phone does not do that.
Ok it ran fine for 4 days and then started buffering like crazy again,sometimes ever 5 minutes. I can run my android phone next to it and that does not happen. Great connection, all suggestions done, this is an obvious Cox contour issue on FIRE, sure wish they would fix the APP. This is the only APP I have issues with also, should have gotten an android tablet and not a FIRE I guess
Try clearing the cache. If that doesn't work, try uninstalling and reinstalling the app and reboot the tablet. Looks like your not the only one having issues.

What OS version are you running?
I did move the app from the SD card to the device (so far so good)Version it is a new tablet 7 gen 188.8.131.52
Good thinking about moving it's install location. Maybe when the device isn't touched for a while, it goes into low power mode and freezes the SD? Does it happen if the device is connected to power?
Not sure as it is never connected to power when on, they run 10 hrs on battery and I just got it. I was ready to send it back as my main use was to watch TV on it when on the porch. All other apps seem to work except Iheart radio
Next time your not using it, connect it to AC and start a program and just mute the volume. That way you can leave it and come back and see if it is frozen. If it doesn't happen plugged in, you might be able to fix it by adjusting a setting. Found here.
