sending emails while in a foreign country

I've read a lot of questions about this problem of not being able to send emails through cox while in a foreign country, but have seen no solutions. Is there one??

  • Hello LAsP, I apologize for the inconvenience, but Cox adds the additional protection when our customers are outside of the country. This provides real time protection against identity theft, data breaches and fraud. Please send us an email to cox.help@cox.com with your full service address, name on the account and the user ID so we can help. Latitia Cox Forum Moderator

What would be the problem?  If you were overseas, would Cox block access to your account because of the foreign IP address?  With the meddling today, it seems to make sense.

I wonder, before you travel, if Cox had a "pre-verfication" statement.  I, LAsP, will be traveling abroad from 1 May 17 to...yada, yada, yada.  Or maybe a pre-deployment phone call to Cox.

    Just thoughts.
