Incoming calls

Why do some incoming calls not display a phone number in the voicetools even when the caller ID isn't blocked?  Is it because call forwarding is turned on?

    It's probably because you're using a phone.

      I just figured out why.  There are several things that don't work properly using a phone so I have to use either the desktop mode or a computer.
