Chronic bad upload speeds.

I live in southern Rhode Island.

Over the past year I have had chronic poor upload speeds.  When paying for 150mb/15mb, I have less than 2mb upload most of the time.

My modem is a Linksys CM3024.  The issue is not with my router.  I am a telecom/network engineer and I need proper upload speeds for work.

  • Hi Redborn, do you have any problems with download speeds or intermittent connectivity? I ask because latency problems are a common problem for modems that use the Puma 6 chipset. Are there any splitters on the coax connection to your modem? So that we can take a look at your speeds on the Cox network, please follow the steps at bit.ly/HowToRunCoxSpdTest, log in, and run the Cox Speed Test tool several times. -Becky, Cox Support Forums Moderator

I don't have latency problems, I have upstream bandwidth problems.  If I was having latency problems I'd notice in video games.

There is a splitter, because there's a VOIP modem separate from my data modem.

I will take measurements during peak hours.
