Using Yahoo email in Mac OS mail app
I have created my Yahoo account in my Mac OS mail, but I can't seem to bring it online-attempts to change it from offline to online are futile. Anyone with a Mac able to help? I tried Yahoo chat, the AI bot is useless and if I want help from Yahoo I have to pay. I can't stand Yahoo in the browser. I can't see the text very well b/c my eyes are old now. The ads are annoying and I will drop Cox before I pay for Yahoo premium. We were looking for a reason to switch to the new Verizon 5g box. Might be now. Thank you in advance.Solved4.1KViews4likes89CommentsInternet Outage
My internet has been down since last Thursday, 4/18/24. Can’t get any real response for why and estimated date of repair. All I get every morning is the following text: UPDATE: We're sorry this complex network issue is taking longer than expected to resolve. Rest assured, a dedicated team is actively working to restore consistent service. We apologize again for the inconvenience and will continue to provide daily text updates. Anybody have any answers or knowledge of what’s going on?3Views0likes0CommentsTuning Adapter (High-Split) Converter Problem
I have a TV ROAMIO that has been used without problems with a tuning adapter for 9 years. A few months ago I was sent a new High Split Converter (HSC-1-H) and I installed it and it worked without issue for 2 months. At 2 am a week ago, I could not receive any channels. When I unplugged the HSC tuning adapter - everything returned to normal. I replaced the Cable Card - no effect A COX tech spent 2 hours in my house and was unable to find the problem. He verified that all my wiring, splitters, and signals to the unit were fine. He replaced all the cable and splitters. I replaced with TIVO with a new ROAMIO - No change - Nothing will work once I plug in the Tuning Adapter. COX sent me a new Tuning Adapter (HSC) and everything worked for about 24 hours - then, once again at 2 am - the problem returned. No channels unless I unplug the tuning adapter. I have changed all the USB cables, twice, changed every component in the system, twice, and watched the COX tech work on the problem for 2 hours - Nothing. I have an open support ticket, but no one ever updates the status. Any suggestions? Firmware updates?515Views1like35CommentsCox email transition - has anyone completed the transition to Yahoo
Has anyone completed the email transition to Yahoo? It would be appreciated if any Cox customer would answer this question. I have been trying to get some information about when; and all I receive from Cox is we don’t know. In my opinion this response is unbelievable - a significant customer service change and the company’s help response team can’t provide an answer is unbelievable - implies a lack of transparency or worst. So that’s why I am calling out to any Cox customer and provide some feedback about the “actual” transition. I and many of us have received the preliminary emails about the future. Has anyone's completed the transition?3.5KViews2likes35Comments- 13Views0likes1Comment
cox transition to yahoo is a cluster
I have spent 4 days attempting to get this transition to work. NO one at cox complete care knows apple mail or iPhone. Royally messed up both my phone and desktop. I have been a cox customer for 30 years and am finished with this horrible customer service. This transition is NOT rocket science. IT SHOULD BE SEAMLESS. Cox is worthless on all levels. I am done with this company.80Views0likes3CommentsSetting up Cox email to run on Android Email App
I successfully setup Outlook to receive Cox email (through Yahoo) using the instructions I found in another forum. I also wanted to be able to continue using the Android App on my phone to receive Cox email and not have to use the Yahoo mail app, as it is full of Ads. The Android App didn't work anymore after the Cox email transition to Yahoo. I followed the same instructions as I did for Outlook: I got a temp password from Yahoo. I deleted my account in the Android App and started over. I used the temp password. Used the 993 and 465 ports. It didn't work. Does anyone have a suggestion?60Views0likes3CommentsCannot Send Mail
What happened to the instructions that were supposed to arrive once the transition to Yahoo happened? I can send emails from Windows 10 desktop using the Cox webmail address: https://www.cox.com/content/dam/cox/okta/mail.html However I can't send email using the Mail app on my iPhone or iPad. I get this message: "Cannot Send Mail. The connection to the outgoing server "smtp.cox.net" failed. Additional outgoing Mail Servers can be configured for Mail accounts in Settings > Mail > Accounts>" How can I determine if I am in "transition" or some other problem?125Views2likes7CommentsCancel Peacock Premium using Contour DVR
Hello, Trying to cancel Peacock subscription that was signed up via Cox Contour DVR. The published instructions do not apply to my set up. No tile or app titled "Manage My Subscriptions" exists, as outlined in the Cox KB article: https://www.cox.com/residential/support/canceling-streaming-subscription-service.html#:~:text=Using%20the%20arrow%20buttons%2C%20highlight,to%20cancel%2C%20then%20press%20OK.&text=3-,Using%20the%20arrow%20buttons%2C%20highlight,My%20Subscriptions%2C%20then%20press%20OK.&text=Using%20the%20arrow%20buttons%2C%20highlight%20Unsubscribe%2C%20then%20press%20OK. I have Complete Care, so I can try to arrange a tech to the home to navigate the menus for me, as I am elderly, but hoping for another set of eyes from another Community Member to help me here on where to navigate on the Contour Remote and DVR. Thanks!4Views0likes0Comments
