Be pretty sweet to get notifications of upcoming maintenance.
Doesn’t seem like it would be to hard to email the customers within the effected area, a simple “hey your internet might go out as we are doing maintenance / upgrades in the area”. It gets very frustrating when you are doing something very important and bam the internet is out for the next 4-6 hours without any sort of notice.14Views0likes1Comment- 13Views0likes1Comment
iPhone & New Yahoo Email
I recently received the notice that my mailbox was transitioned, and I duly signed in to Yahoo to begin the process. The process seemed to complete correctly; my old messages seemed to all be there, though there were a few extra folders created. I went on my iPhone to remove the old Cox account and add the new Yahoo account. This also seemed to complete correctly, and I could see old messages begin to sync to my Mail app. That was this past Sunday. As of this morning, I seem to only have messages from the last 30 days in addition to messages through the end of 2019. Just now, I scrolled through the old message list to see it download 2019 through about 2021, but nothing else is there except for the last 30 days. Was this working as expected? Is there a limit to how many messsages my phone can retrieve from the server per day? All the emails are there when I log into mail.yahoo.com, they just don't seem to want to download. I haven't tried doing this on my Outlook desktop client yet...61Views0likes2CommentsCox sporadic internet service.
I quit cox tv, and went with a steaming service,(roku), or online with my computer, or ota signals. Recently I,(stupidly), followed cox advice, and got a cox modem, to replace the modem and router. Now I spend several minutes everyday trying to get the roku to connect with the cox modem/router. When I explained the problem to cox, I was told that the best plan, was to buy a NEW CABLE TV PLAN FROM COX, and that it would only be an additional $72.00 a month. When I informed the representative, that the issue DID NOT START UNTIL AFTER I STARTED USING COX EQUIPMENT, the representative suggested a new internet plan, and an additional cable tv plan, that would only raise my monthly by $120.00.37Views0likes2CommentsEmail transition forced upon us, is subjecting me to uninvited ads on the Yahoo mail app!
This email transition has opened the door for ads from Yahoo. The only way to stop them is to subscribe to Yahoo +, that has an additional cost. After being a customer for more than 20 years, I'll be looking at other options for internet providers.183Views2likes11CommentsCox Hot Spot running off my modem
Cox is using my Cox rented modem/router as a hot spot for anyone who parks by my house. I went to Privacy Preferences and Disabled Hotspot but it still shows up. It is an unprotected network using my subscription, my electricity to run their "free" spots. I now have a homeless man living his car in front of my house - I think because of this wifi (he is on the phone all the time). He comes in his car at 8pm and leaves at 9am. I called Cox and they said all their boxes have this. They told me to just turn it off when he is around. So I pay and get no service from 8pm onwards. The only solution is to buy your own router which i will do. Or better yet, switch to another service which i guess in my area will be Frontier. This in my opinion, is unsafe for the public and is basically making me pay for services to other people - theft. Cox is the worst I am writing this here to warn other people. Also Cox told me that is the only way to lodge a complaint.73Views0likes4Commentserror message "there was a problem connecting to pop.mail.yahoo.com".
I'm trying to add my new Yahoo email account to my Gmail email account and I keep getting this error: "there was a problem connecting to pop.mail.yahoo.com". I've checked my cox email address and my Yahoo password and scanned a number of online documents but I cannot find a solution. Any help would be appreciated96Views0likes6Comments
