Using Yahoo email in Mac OS mail app
I have created my Yahoo account in my Mac OS mail, but I can't seem to bring it online-attempts to change it from offline to online are futile. Anyone with a Mac able to help? I tried Yahoo chat, the AI bot is useless and if I want help from Yahoo I have to pay. I can't stand Yahoo in the browser. I can't see the text very well b/c my eyes are old now. The ads are annoying and I will drop Cox before I pay for Yahoo premium. We were looking for a reason to switch to the new Verizon 5g box. Might be now. Thank you in advance.Solved1.8KViews3likes45CommentsEmail Transition - Lost Outlook Subfolders
Hey all, I transitioned to Yahoo today and established credentials and everything without a hitch. (I didn't use the password generation, FYI) The problem is I cannot see my many inbox subfolders in Outlook anymore. If I log in to Yahoo webmail they're there, but they're flat-out missing in Outlook. Does anyone know of the fix for this? TIA, Steve43Views0likes6CommentsContour Just Hangs and Hangs
Spent over an hour with Cox tech support on this with no success. Here are the symptoms: when accessing watchtv.cox.com = the screen just hangs with the message "Contour TV Now connecting to your entertainment experience." When using the Contour App -- same result. The problem only exists on one specific Windows 10 desktop. I am able to access Contour TV (browser and app) from other devices. I am using the Edge browser, but I get the same problem with the Chrome browser. I have tried all the obvious solutions: deleted all browsing data, passwords, etc., deleted and reinstalled the Contour App, rebooted the cable router, disabled antivirus/antimalware. Nada. The only thing I can figure is that there is some entry in the Windows registry that is the source of the problem. There are a handful of entries for Contour and watchtv.cox.com, but I am not adventurous enough to just start deleting registry entries (not yet anyway). Any suggestions? Good Afternoon, I have Unlimited Gigablast and for the most part I don't have much to complain about, but there are times that I notice.. I want to call it latency but that is not quite right. I'm starting to wonder if the wiring in my house or from the pole to my house is degraded, but maybe everything is fine. My question lies in the following images. Are these signal strengths & Corrected and Uncorrectable numbers reasonable for a standard cable connection? These numbers are from a 9d17h uptime on the cable modem. I recently attempted the conversion of cox mail to yahoo mail. I use Outlook on my laptop and the Mail app on my iphone. After I changed the settings to incomingimap.mail.yahoo.com and outgoing smtp.mail.yahoo.com- I opened Outlook and I only had the basic folders and emails (Inbox, drafts, sent....) - all of my created folders were gone. I am able to receive and send from Outlook. On my iphone I have all my folders but was unable to receive email until I added Yahoo to the account. but I can't send from my Iphone - I get the following error message "Cannot Send Mail" The user name or password "user@smtp.cox.net" is incorrect. I can't find where the smtp.cox.net still exists. Any help would be appreciated.149Views0likes2CommentsThunderbird conversion
I could use some help. I can log into Yahoo's web server to get my mail. I'm trying to switch Thunderbird from the Cox server to Yahoo. I'm being asked for my password on imap.mail.yahoo.com. I enter what I believe is my password. I get the error message "login to server IMAP.mail.yahoo.com with userID mhorowit@cox.net failed" Can you assist?- Mike8Views0likes0CommentsWorse service
Cox has the worse service in the world I pay over $200 for **bleep**ty service every night for the last 10 days my service keep cutting in and out. I wouldn't recommend Cox to anyone even if they were giving the service away for free.I would be quick tell people they do better using and antenna you'll get the same results.12Views1like2CommentsCrappy Service
