Yahoo Email Transition - iPhone Setup
Has anyone seen anything from Cox indicating that they know there is an issue with setting up iPhone default Mail app to work with the new Yahoo mail server we have moved to? Finally got all of my email accounts on Outlook set up and working. Not a straightforward process in the least and now instead of a Spam/Junk mail folder we get something called a "Bulk" mail folder. Looking forward to the day when AI can learn from my Deletions and automatically take care of Spam email for me. ;-)3Views0likes0CommentsHow to know when "transition is complete"?
I've seen several comments about waiting "until the transition is complete" before making any user or sever changes. OK, but when is that? How am I supposed to know when? Or better is there some kind of status page that show where I am in the transition/user changes? I've gotten three emails from Cox so far: The first on February 3rd. Your Cox.net email is moving soon to Yahoo Mail. A second one on March 22. Your Cox.net email will soon move to Yahoo Mail A third March 23: Cox Important Update!!! ... When is when? And maybe an list of ordered steps of what to do then?106Views0likes1CommentCox email switch to Yahoo disaster
I have spent the entire morning, plus 3 phone calls, re "EMAIL transition". I have Outlook Cox email needing transition to Yahoo. Online discussions/Reddit, etc. states Yahoo does not accept Outlook transition. I also see some customers after much time/effort were able to do this. Customer service could not complete transition to Yahoo from Outlook (rep did try with no success), but suggested for $10 mo for Cox Help they could help me. This is the LAST STRAW....I have been a customer of Cox for 30 years with many ups/downs.....however, this EMAIL TRANSITION is a disaster. I can now only access my email thru the Cox email web; Outlook email does not work at all. I will be changing all services including internet, cable, phone, email @ $235 monthly bill ASAP.127Views0likes7CommentsInternet drops; zero upload
For the last year, my internet intermittently drops or grinds to a sluggish pace. I have gigablast, have Eero Pro 6 routers all through the house, have an Arris sb8200 modem (which per Cox is compatible and I have used prior versions over the years with no issue). I even bought another Arris sb8200 to see if first one was bad. I have had Cox out to my house at least 6 times in last year to investigate but not one tech can "find the problem" but they tinker with things every time they come. Sometimes it goes out in the morning before work, sometimes midday, sometimes at night. Happens when I am the only one home working or when whole family is home working, streaming, gaming. I am about to lose my mind over this. I have had Cox for almost 15 years and no issues until about a year ago. All the equipment and plan I have I've had for more than a year so to me, it can't be the equipment, and I have the fastest plan. So all signs point to the problem being on Cox's end. But they have checked the street, the outside of the house, the inside of the house, with no solution. If anyone has a suggestion I am all ears. The only thing I don't want to do is get the Panoramic Wifi modem if at all possible. I've never needed it before and prefer not to use it since it is a modem and router and I am happy with my Eero routers and don't want to have to replace them.28Views0likes1CommentUsing Yahoo email in Mac OS mail app
I have created my Yahoo account in my Mac OS mail, but I can't seem to bring it online-attempts to change it from offline to online are futile. Anyone with a Mac able to help? I tried Yahoo chat, the AI bot is useless and if I want help from Yahoo I have to pay. I can't stand Yahoo in the browser. I can't see the text very well b/c my eyes are old now. The ads are annoying and I will drop Cox before I pay for Yahoo premium. We were looking for a reason to switch to the new Verizon 5g box. Might be now. Thank you in advance.140Views0likes4Comments2.5G wired connection
I just signed up for the 2 Gig plan. I received a "PW8 Panoramic WifiGateway" and have connected it. And...I have a connection. My use case requires my own router that I can adjust as needed. My current router is 1G capable - so I believe I'm limited to 1G. However - I'm willing to invest in a 2.5G capable router if the modem is compatible. I believe I read somewhere that ethernet port 4 on the Panoramic device is 2.5G. I'm asking if indeed this is so and can I get the full speed accordingly?26Views0likes2Comments
